Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards
About Course
The Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) represent a critical regulatory framework implemented by the UK Government to address the energy performance of buildings in the private rented sector (PRS). Initially enforced in April 2018, MEES regulations were created to phase out the least energy-efficient properties—those with EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) ratings of F or G—by prohibiting their rental unless improvements are made or valid exemptions registered.
